I just call it soda, but I couldn't care less if others called it pop. Or even soda-pop. Nobody has a 'right' way of naming it.

Soda is anything that's carbonated.
"Pop" is a slang term that came into being because of the popping sound from opening the containers.
They're both shortened versions of the phrase "soda pop."
"Coke" is red-neck talk, unless you're actually talking about either Coca-Cola or cocaine.
I don't know about all of you guys, but I personally call it "other."

You wouldn't say I want some fanta coke would you? that just sounds stupid. I'd like some fanta soda is sooooo much better. I hate pop used like this ( i just think it sounds stupid imo) but I feel pop is better than calling it coke.
