That's still not convincing me that Marth's not in Brawl. Removing Marth from Super Smash Bros. Brawl is almost as bad as removing Ness (not because Ness was in all of the Super Smash Bros. games). Even if Marth and Ness haven't been in any new games recently (besides Marth's Fire Emblem DS Game) they're the first and central characters to their series. If either of them were removed their game series would be badly represented.
Also, Marth's Fire Emblem game being remade for the DS practically confirms Marth making it in. Ike having Marth and Roy's moves don't necessarily confirm that they're not making it in.
I wouldn't get your hopes too high. Not because I think Marth not make it in (but I do think he will), but because there's still a possibility that he won't.
Didn't they say at one point all the Characters from the Original Smash Bro's would still be there, meaning we will still have Ness?

They haven't officially announced him to be cut, and Lucas seems to have a separate move-set. But, we'll just have to wait and see. But, yes, you are right, that was announced at one point. I think it was on the old Smash Bros. site.

It's probably too much to ask, but it would be awesome if one with a DS could actually link up and alter the Pictochat stage.
Yeah but different people of different ages play and some will ruin it by drawing sick things.

The PictoChat arena sure looks like fun. It'll probably be the least predictable stage. And demondude55 does have a point about not letting you actually alter the stage with a DS. If only they could censor out sick pictures people draw somehow.
I'll be okay whether Miis make it as playable characters or as an Assist Trophy. I'm hoping that Mach Rider will be an Assist Trophy as well.
Speaking of playable characters, I'm really hoping they update one soon.
