Just a few days ago I'd finally started to get exciting about the upcoming release and was allowing myself to plan for a Smash Bros. party. And now look what you've done to me, Nintendo.
This second delay really sucks. I guess Sakurai isn't as reliable a person as he seemed to be at first.

Yes, because the game was originally coming out on the same week as Smash Bros. There are a few good games coming for Nintendo systems coming before Smash, but I don't think Advance Wars (next week) and Ace Attorney (Feb 12) need to be pimped. Professor Layton, however, is something that folks should keep an eye on. Especially if you're Level-5 fans! (And the name *is* "Professor Layton & the Curious Village". I've had the 'Japanese' name of it in my head for a year. Old habits die hard.)
But yeah, I want Layton to do good because there are 3 games in the series, and I want them all in English. Like Ace Attorney.
If Layton was in Smash Bros, I think that'd be awesome.
As for Sakurai talking at GDC, the event takes place from Feb 18-22. Last year, Koji Kondo had a panel on music as part of the interactive experience. I'm really looking forward to what Sakurai has to say.
At least it's only a month delay in the US, A week if you import from, or live in, Japan. But once it is released in Japan, what will become of the US site for 3 weeks? And when that happens, what will become of all the EU pages for all eternity? I'm thinking the site will simply shut down at Japan's release, since anyone with the intarwebz can get the data easily anyway.

I don't see anything in the Wind Waker Link trophy that would reveal him as a character. :P
Also, JKTrix can rest easier now that the Ouendan guys are confirmed to be in it in at least one form.

Well, Sheik has been seen, though since I found this on Gamefaqs, I doubt its credibility to a fairly large extent, but I think it may just be real. It appears to be from a JP strategy guide, which has pages outlining every character, it seems, and it has Zelda in it.
Now, of course, there's one obvious thing about this. The Sheik picture looks ferociously like the SSBM model, and it's on a stage that was on Melee. They could have obtained a picture of Zelda on that Stage as a Past Stage in Brawl, and took a picture of the same spot in Melee. Ah, however! Look at Sheik's legs. She had no such bands in Melee to my memory. It was a much more patterned out design, while the Brawl design seen here looks like a bunch of patches of the same color one sewed together! A real rogue look!
If this turns out to be true, it's not really a huge surprise, at least to me, with the artist working on art for Sheik and Ganondorf in this game and all that. Besides, Sheik is teh awesomez. :3 No way they'd get rid of her.
Edit: Some people are saying it's from Famitsu, but I'm not sure.
