I hadn't bothered to pre-order at Gamestop and when I called them it sounded like there wasn't a very good chance they'd have any for non pre-ordering customers (because Gamestop is lame) so my friends and I popped over to Wal-mart around 11:30 and waited around, grabbed the game, and then came home and played for about 4 hours.

Close to 30% through Subspace Emissary. I've been kind of surprised how different the game feels than Melee, but it's just going to take some getting used to.

My initial pleasant surprises so far: Lucas and especially Ike are way more fun than I anticipated. I didn't like Meta-Knight all that much.

Ugh. I'm kinda counting on someone to give me the money they owe me so I can buy this game. Doesn't look like that's happening within any reasonable amount of time. I'm gonna have to start breaking some legs.

Apparently it's not working on some Wiis for the same reason it wasn't working in Japan. The dual-layer DVD isn't working very well because of dust on the lenses. So yeah. Keep your Wii clean. xP

Same thing happened here pretty much exactly, except my friends and I actually went to Gamestop (hoping to make it to the tournament which apparently started and finished about two hours prior) and stood around until they came out and said that. But Wal Mart had a bunch of copies and hardly any line, so my group ended up leaving with like three copies.

Huh, that might explain why the loading times seem somewhat long... can't help I have an old dorm room that gets dusty! At least it does load, though.

I put 4.5 hours into it with 3 other friends who got it after the Midnight Release, and then another 5 by myself today because I had literally nothing else to do. The game feels so much clunkier and slower than Melee to me, but that feeling will hopefully disappear once I play it for a while. Still well worth the wait.

And I don't really like Subspace Emissary, I'm at about 50% and it's getting really boring just wailing away on Primids. But it's a necessary evil that will soon be out of the way.

Oddly I'm the opposite of Azar. I don't enjoy Ike or Lucas, but I love Metaknight.

That guy is extremely mobile.

But I'm enjoying Subspace emissary, I'm almost done with it actually.

It definitely is slower, but I'm not sure I'd say it's clunkier. It seems more like a blend between Melee and the original. I'm somewhere around 50% in Subspace Emissary and (SPOILER)just got ROB and killed Ridley again. Am I really only 50% through the story, or is that taking into account little things I've missed so far? Either way, it's definitely long, and a lot of fun. Cutscenes are the ultimate fanservice.

I think it includes all the things you can miss, cause It seems I'm almost done, but I'm only at around 80%. Feels like I should be farthern then that, but I could be wrong.

I've not played much of SSE. I played a few hours with my sister's BF, Kyle, but after that it was all spent on VS. Matches.

Edit: By the way, has anyone else had trouble with getting "With Anyone" Online Mode to work, or is it just me?
