I'll add another vote for Vincent/Yuffie. They'd make a neat duo, as they do in Dirge of Cerberus, and the throbbing sexual tension would keep people guessing too.

Hmm... how about Lulu and Cid Highwind? They're both serious, intelligent and mature, but Cid's recklessness and foul mouth would put him at odds with the quiet and sophisticated Black Mage.

YES, i recon that would be incredibly amusin. Dirge of Cerberus made me realise the awesomeness of these two characters, they are the best thing about the game (doc that is), but they are best as a team.

For sheer randomisity i suggest B'gamnan and Relm, look how she got Ultros to calm down for a second, she could keep B'gamnan in check i think
