That's what I thought. Random targeting is still targeting and Snape should have died from his investigation of Filch if Filch is truly the Paranoid Gun Owner. Which means either Filch is not a Paranoid Gun Owner, or Snape didn't actually investigate him.

ugh. Myrtle and Voldemort, seriously, why Filch over Snape? Yes, he probably should have died, which means he's LYING. I agree that there's a chance from this that Filch is also mafia, but Snape is the most likely one if it was Snape that lied.
