    Uhh, hello! EoFF!

The one thing I'm worried about is if it will be a game for PSP with just phone graphics. Yuck.

But I hear Japan is pretty big on phone gaming. You know what kind of phone gaming I play? Scrabble. Not exactly demanding if you ask me.
Have you seen the Japanese phone graphics?

They're amazing. Just look at some Agito screens.

"They said this day would never come. They said our sights were set too high. They said this country was too divided, too disillusioned to ever come around a common purpose. But on this January night, at this defining moment in history, you have done what the cynics said we couldn't do." - Barack Obama.

I believe this game was being developed for phones that hadn't even come out yet when it was announced. I wonder how the Japanese take towards buying brand new phones for just one game.

People think its being scrapped for phones anyway after it was announced for PSP. I wouldn't be surprised. Nor would I care.

I wonder how long it will take to have Agito on PSP...

Knowing Square, it could either be out before you can blink, or you'll be old and grey by the time you take the first steps into Akademia...

They aren't the fastest with Final Fantasy XIII and the many delays.
A demo was supposed to be released in, what, Fall 2007, spring 2008? (Magazine EGM, other sources other dates)
This game stated 2008, early 2009 "Only for PS3" now is 2009/2010 and Multi-Platform.
It seems odd to now Multi-Platform Final Fantasy XIII after all the Massifs interview stating how great the PlayStation 3 is evolving games and the best system in the world (And still is the best system in the world but it's a bit of an hypocrite attitude to just go out and multi-platforming Final Fantasy XIII after speaking how great the PS3 is)

VII was also heavily delayed. The game was much better because of it.

I don't mind if they delay XIII (within reason, I don't want it to be in 2035 or something), as long as they use that time to make sure the game is as good as they can get it.

I'm going to cautiously say that it seems like a reasonably interesting and promising title, judging from the (slightly sloppy) description on Wikipedia. Not a 'card fighting game', thankfully, since only one character's armed that way.
Having the main characters as students at a magical combat academy seems rather derivative, but presumably no more ridiculous than FFVIII.

In FFVIII, they said it was 'where Fantasy meets Reality' in some article.
Since they aim for teens, it's somewhat natural to have an academy...

    Well, they all look good.

Anyway, I think I'll still be getting a PSP at some point, more for Tactics & Crisis Core than for Agito (this might change once I actually know what Agito is about).

About Sony losing money on DS, I doubt it. If you look at their Financial Statements for 2007-2008, they made an operating income of 8800 million Yen on their Offline Games Division. Even after other expenses, their profit is around 8000 million Yen. And the vast majority of that Offline Game Division was DS.
Same here, I'm planning on getting a PSP not only because of Agito, but homebrew and other games as well.

I can't remember where in the world I heard this, but I've been thinking that they're a group of assassins or something, and they have uniforms S:

...I could have just made that up, though. I really don't remember xD

ANYWAY, I hope this is something I can play without playing the other FFXIII games, because this might be the only one I can play.
