Jeux D'enfants - Love Me If You Dare
Probably the best foreign film I've ever seen. It's an incredible french movie about two children who become friends and play a continuous game of dare, that continues into their adulthood, which starts to become extreme and almost sadistic. It's a romance/suspense/black comedy all rolled into one. The ending was one of the most surprising scenes in any movie I've ever watched.

I'd like to see it. I know they're the typical answers, but Pan's Labyrinth and Amelie blew me away.
Moon Rabbits wins with City of God.
Some of my favorites are by Jean Renoir: Grand Illusion and the River. I also like the works by the Archers: The Life and Death of Colonel Blimp, the Red Shoes, and Peeping Tom. I also enjoyed Read my Lips.
I actually watched Amelie for the first time today, and I can safely say it's also in my top 5 best movies I've ever watched. Amazing movie. It was so charming!

I just watched La Vie en Rose, and really liked it, and have discovered that Marion Cotillard is in Jeux D`enfants as well, interesting! She was quite amazing.
Anyways, even though I haven't seen it in forever, I love Run Lola Run. Ahhh christ azn movies. I love too many of them. I can't list them. Okay I was totally in love with Crouching Tiger. Ugh, why is my taste in movies so mainstream?
ANYWAY. I hunted down the first part of it without subs on youtube and I liked it quite a bit, but it seemed kind of americanised? I don't know. It looks good anyway, I'll be sure to watch it all at some point - hopefully I'll be able to find it with subs, my french is pretty awful.
Run Lola Run is a great movie. House of Flying Daggers, not so much. I thought it dragged on far longer than it needed to at parts.
