As Shinra hail from the southern - ie, Final Fantasy - forums, here is a fun question for candidates. Imagine you are an FF character. Which FF character would you be and why?

And for real, Cid, no doubt. He's awsome written over a piece of cool. He still cares for his friends and helps everyone in trouble, even beside a little temper. He even has a sigar, where in any game do you still see that?

Well, lets not waste any more time!
The Shinra Party is the avid supporting group of the current administration. With members like Pureghetto, Del Murder - The original Elitist of the old Elitist Party -, and theundeadhero, it is evident that this party has the powerhouse of force behind them. Wanting to strengthen the already impressive amount of force the Cid's Knights can use, it is questionable whether they encourage Democracy or want a full blown Totalitarian Government, and with individuals like Old Levian in the mix, you really are gonna have a terrible time trying to find an argument that they encourage Democracy. If they win, it very well could be the end of freedom at Eyes on FF. But, as Barry Schwartz believes, less is more when it comes to choice! Let's take a closer look.
Privacy
Finding out Real Life Information: Under this administration, no one will be safe when it comes to personal information. While it's aims of finding real names and home addresses are a valiant effort to fight Citizen Bleys and supporters of his crotch, it begs the question. If we can go this far, how much farther can we go!? Soon, Cid's Knights might be asking for national identification numbers or demanding sex with your wives and husbands! Powers in the name of security, in some desperate times, may overstep on personal liberties, however, it is up to the people to establish what civil liberties may be too limited. Perhaps a nominee will stand on an altered platform, but with elitists like Del Murder, I imagine he would enforce more regulation than even the party platform suggests, especially the bit about sex with your significant others! All I can say is, I don't know what to make of it!
User Pages: Visitor Messages have become a powerful addendum to profile pages ever since they were formerly called usernotes. At first it became a spam haven, with members like Psychotic and Meat Puppet competing for the amount of usernotes they had received. However, the Cid's Knights began cracking down, and then, soon after, the usernotes became visitor messages when the entire new layout of profiles changed! Now, Cid's Knights are changing their status once again to reincorporate flame spamming to anyone who has posted in your visitor's message. They consider it a sacred right of Cid! Well where was this sacred right years ago during the usernote era? Can you trust this party given the record? Do you believe they have reformed. I can't make a decision for you, but just report the facts!
Power Authorizations
Zero Tolerance Policy: Avalanche might be in support of no banning that allows rampant chaos on the board, but Shinra offers the far opposite extreme. Shinra wants to implement a "three-strike" rule, and while this might seem gracious, really... how much is three-strikes and what to what extent does one have to failhard so badly that it counts as a strike. Does this mean one post of spam intended to be funny but falls on its face, or does this mean a huge upheaval of flames to burn down the forum? Does trying to assassinate the president count as one strike or do different actions carry multiple strike penalties? It seems evident that there is a lot of room for open interpretation and ultimately it relies on the nominee being selected after primaries, and if you the voter can trust them. Not to mention that, without voter registration, which they plan to disable, sooner or later everyone not in support of this party will be banned. All I have to say is that if Bleys' Crotch doesn't scare you, then you'll probably be scared of this party's stance.
Economy: Taxation and representation! TAXATION AND MISREPRESENTATION! It is no doubt that Corporations have begun funding a lot of the current administration's aims. Back in the old days, this reporter remembers a time when the forums were kept up to payment speed by the benevolent Cid, who accepted donations, but soon, coffers were running short, and prices to run the community were rising as it kept growing and growing, and fewer were donating. Corporations alleviated this problem as well as allowed for profits coming in! This allowed for new members to come in without worrying about having to pay for membership, which some forums still do. However, do we really want to start becoming so entangled with big money that the entire aspect of the forums start being about corporations and not the user? Things like Sony's Recognized Members or Nintendo's Cid's Knights might start becoming a conflict of interest causing skirmishes to break out between factions. And what of regular members!? Will each one start needing a corporate sponsor to join? What if I were Coca Cola's Dignified Pauper or if Psy became Psychotic Snickers? If this isn't handled properly, and the administration is only out to appease corporate sponsors, then we will have a very severe problem on our hands. However, if they focus on members and keep corporate sponsors within their limits, will this really be a bad thing?
The War: The GHF campaign has been a divided one. Ever since that blasted Bleys came here with his militant force and stirred up trouble. However, some feel we have overstayed our welcome and even felt that we have done more harm than good. Dr. Unne and Bleys are still at large, Raistlin goes there (God still hates him though), and there are Cid's Knights there being put in danger! However, let's not forget that we have been getting some revenu from GHF, but where has this revenue gone? Have we the members seen it? I haven't. Have you? Is it being stowed away for an emergency situation or are the current administrators spending it on hookers and blow? However, we can be confident that we won't see attacks from GHF officially if the war's campaign continues, but with so much focus on the board itself and not individuals, who is to say that we won't have a mass uprising on our hands because they move/create another board that we are unaware of. Already, there are many of the same members of GHF on other boards such as Jojo's Pink Themed board, whose name I cannot remember. If Bleys supporters move to there, will we follow them, or is the profit coming from GHF the current administrations only motivation and not the security of you, the voter. Only you can decide, but you have the facts!
