I say what we do is have a staff member figure the difference between the main database and the one listed at the bottom of the normal forum page.

Then just add that on to 2,000,000 and we'll know which post the 2,000,000th one is going to be.

Perhaps we should take the soon-to-be 2,000,000th post and then add the actual total of posts according to the database, divide by 2, and then that is the official 2M GET.

If spam were permited from the begining we would have hit this milestone a few years ago.

However it would have stopped, cause the forum would probably be deserted by that point because of the mindless slop that would infest it.

seriously guys, if you're really concerned about post volume, do it somewhere else. here at Eyes on Final Fantasy, we're concerned with post quality. which has also been lacking.

2,000,000 posts is quite a milestone, but it's just a number. Of course, it is a reflection of how great the site is, but we got there with quality posts being in the majority because we weren't looking at our post counts.
