    I don't understand the whole 'We're here, we're queer, get used to it' mentality. You don't see that many straight people these days (at least I don't) with a 'We're straight, we hate, get used to it' attitude.

    I guess a better way to say it is 'Why identify yourself by your sexuality?' Why label yourselves?

    That being said, I'm not gay, but it's totally cool with me if anyone else is. We've all got our preferences.

    Correct. While overdone Gay Pride can be annoying, secuality actually affects you directly in nonphysicals ways, whereas race and nationality do not directly affect you in any nonphysical fashion.
