We'll remember to protect your poor easily offended ears next time.

One of my favourite oddball mashups was Dolly Parton/Royksopp on the excellent 2 Many DJs record As Heard on Radio Soulwax Part 2.
"Excuse me Miss, do you like pineapple?"

Thanks. Nothing personal against any of you, but I just don't like profane lyrics.

And do you have the YouTube link of that Dolly Parton/Royksopp mashup?
    Is that your final answer?

Linkin Park are about as edgy as a soggy donut. That mashup is pure cheese and cheese.

Please, ITRP, try not to post anything with explicit lyrics. Nothing personal against you, but if you were truly a concerned parent, I don't think you should allow your children to listen to such profane music.

It's a good thing he isn't a parent, let alone a concerned one.

edgy - nervous, apprehensive; : creatively challenging; cutting edge; leading edge; : on the edge between acceptable and offensive; pushing the boundaries of good taste; dodgy

There is nothing creatively challenging about "I AM SO NUMB AAAAAAAH MY PARENTS DON'T UNDERSTAND ME.

I Do Brooklyn When I Want - Jay Z. ft Little Wayne x Xiu Xiu Mashup. I'm probably biased but this is my favorite mashup. Ever.

Yeah so I'm not a parent, but when I have a kid, he's going to be brought up on Snoop Dogg, Nas, and Biggie, unedited. While I have him rip a bong at 7 years old as he is playing the Hot Coffee mod from GTA: San Andreas.

Linkin Park is about as sanitised and commercially produced as you can get, they are basically the Backstreet boys with guitars. There is nothing edgy about them at all.

When it comes to being edgy, LP are edgy in the definitions in which I highlighted above.

I thought those were the qualities you avoided in music?

And I assure you, Linkin Park is neither pushing the boundaries of good taste (see: Marilyn Manson circa 1996) nor on the edge between acceptable and offensive - I don't think Linkin Park has offended anyone ever at any time.

Oops, I actually meant "angsty" or otherwise raunchy (subject matter as opposed to language) lyrics with furiously-loud guitars. As long as it doesn't contain profanity, it isn't offensive.

    Okay then.

Here are some more oddball mashups for you.

YouTube - Shakira ft Linkin Park & Lil Wayne - Give New Divide To Me
"Give it Up to Me" by Shakira and Lil' Wayne + "New Divide" by Linkin Park

YouTube - Linkin Park vs Miley Cyrus vs MGMT - Numb Kids Of Our Lives
"Numb," "Kids," and "The Time of Our Lives"

YouTube - LP+Gaga+MGMT+Miley - New Divide Ultra (MegaMashup)

I saw this a while back, and I still watched it 4 times in a row. It just doesn't get old.

One antagonistic response = majority? Seriously?

(Also before you jump on me with hilariously exaggerated assumptions, I like both styles of music.)
