Is it really fun just playing against the computer all the time? I would not recommend the Street Fighter series or Tekken series to those who cannot play others since the storyline has never been the strongest point of any fighting game.
I'm not sure, actually. I myself have fun with Dissidia still. Admittedly, a lot of people seem to really struggle with its learning curve for some reason. However, like most things of this nature, once you learn all of the "tricks' to the AI, the difficulty goes flying out the window [many people have an easy time fighting max level Chaos now since they practice against him so often with building up AP for their characters].

You can still spend hours upon hours mastering all of the characters, because [in my opinion] they all have extremely distinct fighting styles and an interesting array of unique attack moves specific to each character [not counting Bartz, since his fighting style is specifically mimicking the moves of his companions]. I've gotten loads of hours of fun from Dissidia. Just don't expect a blow-you-away story, because it certainly doesn't have that. Also, don't expect terrific voice acting either, though I'm sure nearly everyone will be very entertained by Kefka.
