Robin Hood. Complete bore. 3/10

Robin Hood was a passable reimagining of the first part of Men in Tights.

Ong Bak - The Thai Warrior
Great action scenes. Normally martial arts film lose my interest quickly, but it was so kinetic and fast-paced that I was enthralled. Very good party movie.
Wild Zero
Another great party movie. Extremely silly and fun. It immediately went on the list with The Room as something that's hilarious to get drunk and make fun of, except with this one it's obviously intentional.
The Science of Sleep
The visuals were pretty fascinating, but the protagonist ended up being totally removing any chance of me sympathizing with him. His craziness ruined any of the romance for me. I went in hoping for an experience similar to Eternal Sunshine, but just ended up pretty disappointed. A lot of good ideas, but poorly executed.
Eternal Sunshine is a hard movie to beat. Joel and Clementine are such quirky and likeable characters you can't help but root for them.
Saw Robin Hood. Odd that the old Errol Flynn version was bursting with fun and energy and the more recent adaptations (like RH:PoT) are so gritty and downbeat. Well acted, although I'm not sure to what end. Feels like the entire movie is a set up for a sequel.
Ong Bak is definitely the best modern day martial arts film I've ever seen. Tom Yum Goong/The Protector is very similar in terms of the style of the fighting scenes, but much better as party movie. When watching it with a group of a dozen guys, every 5 minutes we felt compelled to scream "Where's my elephant!?" at the TV. =\Originally Posted by Shoeberto

I tried to give Science of Sleep a try because I loved Eternal Sunshine, but I never really gave it a proper go and I got distracted a few minutes in. Gotta try again sometime.
An Education

It was okay. I love the opening with all the fancy credits. Carey Mulligan was very good and Peter Sarsgard (despite me not believing his British accent at all) had the character's persona down to a tee. It's really hard for me to get in to British cinema if it isn't horror or comedy, or comedy horror, but this managed to keep me interested. The twist (although not entirely unexpected) was also interesting. And for once a British film that doesn't look like it was shot with a cheap camera.
Oh, I like The Science of Sleep, but I still think Eternal is better. Maybe because it has Beck and Kate Winslet in it.
If by "better" you mean better at putting me to sleep. Science of Sleep was endlessly boring.The Science of Sleep is worlds better than Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind could ever hope to be.
I just got back from the cinema, I saw Four Lions.
It's a brilliant film that's rare in the fact that it can make you feel several emotions all at one time. Hilariously funny, but really sad and shocking too. Highly recommended
Just got back from Iron Man 2 and unlike most of the people in this thread, I actually liked it.
I found the plot to be interesting and liked the fact there was multiple scenario's going on. I also don't mind the supposed lack of action (odd, I remember the first film having just as much as this film...) but this may be in part because I actually like Tony Stark as a character as opposed to Iron Man the super hero. So a film focusing more on Tony and issues with a Billionaire owning the strongest weapon on the globe was far more entertaining to watch unfold than Iron Man beating up a bunch of people.
I like how this film gave both Tony Stark and Iron Man there own personal villains to watch them deal with, it made the film flow better for me cause personally, I never felt Iron Man had too many great villains anyway. The heavy foreshadowing of the Avengers film was pretty fun as well. The soundtrack is also awesome.

Last two movies I watched were The Re-Animator, and Bride of the Re-Animator. Awesome films, the both of them.
The dialogue and character of Dr. Herbert is simply spectacular, and every moment he is on screen is a sight to behold.
Both leading characters in these movies play their parts perfectly. The biggest flaw in both films, however, is the lead female, and any scene they are the spotlight in. Neither one is interesting in the slightest bit.
A Little Princess

One of the best children's movies ever! I watched it and bawled as a kid. And then I watched it again last weekend and I'm 23 years old but I still cried. Like 2 different times. Plus, the visuals are just stunning. The way they used light, aahhh so gorgeous!
The City of Lost Children

Brilliant film! Very original script complete with clones, Santa Claus, a talking brain, ingenious children, and Ron Perlman. If you have seen the director's other film, Amelie, it's definitely very different from that. It's like a bizarre whirlwind of black comedy meeting fantasy. It's also one of the most visually stunning films I've seen.
I've seen some people compare this film to Pan's Labyrinth, and although both films feature the cute little girl protagonist who gets thrown into a fantasy world, the two films are not one and the same. Regardless, I recommend it despite the highly annoying clones. It's not my favorite foreign film, but definitely worth a watch.
