It's been given to Gearbox, who have incentive to actually get the game out the door, so I think it'll get released.

I think at this point, it'd be best to reset expectations. It's no longer the Duke of myth, carefully crafted by Broussard and his team at 3D Realms; it's a game by a whole new studio on a fast-track to release.

Not that I think that'll help ward off the scathing criticism it'll likely receive, but it's my two cents.
