I don't know how this can be considered a good trailer. It tells me one thing and one thing only. There are zombies about and it takes place on an island...possibly with a resort involved. As a game trailer, I still don't know what type of game it is or at least the characters that I will be controlling and their story.
This is just a throw away scene with throw away characters that tells me nothing about anything. I think they should have extended this by 3 more minutes and submitted it as an animated short. That is something cool. As a trailer to get me interested about the game it is a total failure. It filled me with enough questions to the point were it is immediate overload and I don't care.
Yeah I wish that's how it made me feel. Everyone else will get to enjoy at least I suppose haha

Wow did you read the article? To start with this game is first person and DR is 3rd person. Also Dead Rising has a hugely awesome but incredibly camp atmosphere throughout where as this game is aiming more for gritty realism. Because the idea is to melee zombies. And yeah. I read the article. Like I said, everyone else will be able to enjoy it. Everyone else enjoyed Dead Rising. The first person thing just makes me think Left 4 Dead, which I also hated, and also everyone else loved. Don't mind my bitterness :P
