I am happy the God of War PSP games are getting Remastered for the PS3. I never owned a PSP so I'll get to play them now.
The 3-d TV combo isn't too bad, and that split screen, or should I say NOT split screen tech is pretty awesome, even though I had heard about it before, it's another thing for them to actually show it.
THE JACKEL
add me, PSN: ljkkjlcm9
I see they're adding voice recognition for the dialogue wheel and other things in ME3. How adorable.
Yeah, that true co-op tv thing is pretty amazing and the vita also seems pretty cool.
Does Square have a mini conference or anything? I know they revealed XIII-2 but I'm watching for more Deus Ex and anything Kingdom Hearts.
Also, no release date for The Old Republic pisses me of to no end. Not cool Bioware, not cool (another awesome trailer though xD)
Have only been able to briefly check things out this morning before rushing to work but so far, Skyrim looks better and better while Uncharted 3 will have Chloe in it and therefore I'm happy enough. Hope to have a bit of time today to read up on the other things before checking out more videos when I get home.
Bow before the mighty Javoo!
According to the video footage I saw, it's going to use the Halo Reach mechanics, graphics and physics. This would indicate that there might also be more Halo Reach weaponry interred within. This means by default that the magnum will still be 2x scopable as it is in Halo Reach. Quit your Jibba Jabber fool.
Ironic!
But seriously, just because they're reusing the game engine from Reach does not automatically mean reusing all of it's assets like weapons and what not. I would think they'd do well not to simply make Reach with new (old?) levels and consider it done, so you can't really assume anything.
And that's about all I'll say on the matter since I have no desire to get dragged into a debate around Halo. I hated the first three games so an announcement of more, including a remake of the first doesn't interest me.
Wii U? What an awful name.
Nintendo just rocked my smurfing world.
I want to know more about Skyward Sword!
That has to be the ugliest, most awkward looking controller I've ever seen.
And am I the only one who thought consolified DS when they heard about this?
Anyway, I'm not even sure what to think. I couldn't care less about this controller until I see actual good uses for it. I can think of some uses off hand, but nothing that would really justify holding something so massive for hours on end. Until I see actual games using it I'll remain firmly on the fence on this one.
I was speaking ergonomically though. When I look at that, the last thing entering my mind is "that looks so comfortable! I bet you could hold it for hours with no trouble at all." It just looks really uncomfortable to me when compared to a standard controller. Unless it's deeper than it looks and has a more ergonomic shape underneath I can't imagine holding it being the pleasure it is to have a DS3 or 360 pad in your hands.
You could try reading the article right above your post in which the first people you use the controller are saying it actually works well. "The tablet itself appears large, but is actually quite comfortable to grip. The two sliders both being located at the top of the tablet make holding it considerably easier."
