I like this a lot better than the second and third movies. The business with Davey Jones could have been dealt with in a single movie instead of stretched out into two. And I agree that Will and Elizabeth lacked chemistry together (which wasn't as big a problem in the first movie). Frankly I found the relationship between (SPOILER)Phillip and Syrena, although equally cliched, a lot more compelling. I want to see more of them.
I saw several of the 'suprises' coming off a mile away including the (SPOILER)identity of the presiding judge, the (SPOILER)true identity of Jack's imposter, and the (SPOILER)business with the wrong chalices. But it was still an enjoyable seafaring yarn.
