Guy I'm currently dating doesn't even know what Final Fantasy is and currently lives very close although his home town is in Baltimore, Maryland where there's delicious CRABS. Reaction = win! Basically my answer is no. I tried the whole long distance thing and really doesn't work for most people and it's definitely not dating until you actually meet in person.
