Harry Potter "Deathly Hallows Part 2"
My and my Gf recently went to go see this and for me she is the one trying to get me into the Harry Potter series. I've watched them with her on DVD and for me the first three actually weren't bad tbh. However for this film i thought it was ok nothing special or spectacular about it, and tbh the latter films kinda bored me (considering how i thought the earlier titles were filmed).

i wont give away any spoilers to those who haven't seen it yet, some of the scenes are shocking with what happens and who it happens to and all in all i think anyone will enjoy the film. Especially for people like me who never got into the series to late...albeit i wouldn't say im a super fan or anything. i doubt they will stop making films probably in another five years i think they will make more films (why let a profitable series die?).

so for me this movie gets a 8.5/10 thought it could've been maybe a little better but still awesome.

    The Change-Up

    9/10

It was hilarious and shocking. Blunt and sometimes vulgar humor at it's best. It wasn't as predictable as comedies of this caliber tend to be which was refreshing. The only reason I'm not giving this a perfect score is because of the cliche of swapping bodies being done a thousand times before and the fact that they're able to change bodies by peeing in a fountain. I mean c'mon.

    Captain America

    4/10

The first few minutes made the film seem slow, most likely because it was. A few scenes like the scenes with the German scientist and the scene when they are infiltrating an enemy base were really the only interesting things about the film. The rest was really boring. The relationship or lack there of between Captain America and his love interest seemed really shallow and quick. Avengers is the only thing I can look forward to as of right now. Oh and the CG of his head on another person's body was atrocious.

Speaking of bad CG, Rise of the Planet of Apes. Why did they make their body language cheesy? If the Apes were trying less to look like pseudo bad-ass and the acting wasn't corny and/or just outright terrible I might actually want to see this film.

Was drug along to see Rise of the Planet of the Apes, because a friend wanted to see it.

Maybe it's because my expectation were so low, but it wasn't as bad I thought it would be. There were many little plot holes, and I'm sure some major ones if I cared to really analyze things. It did make a decent, mindless action movie.

Sound/Music: The sound effects were good enough. The only sound effect I actively didn't like was (SPOILER) when Caesar began speaking. It just bothered me because I don't care how advanced his mind was, I don't think chimp vocal chords are that versatile. So the wonder drug wouldn't have done anything. Plus it just sounded stupid. The music seemed pretty good actually. I'd have to listen to it without the movie to see if it could carry itself, but it didn't stick out as bad.

Special Effects: Most of the effects were fair, but the chimps just didn't look that great. Caesar is a fine example. There were some gorillas and orangutans that looked realistic. The chimps and the their many, countless close-ups of them contemplating things looked overly fake.

Plot: Average for this type of film. I have no idea how the original story line stated everything got started, but this over-all plot is acceptable. It's a rebirth of the series, so it will be different. There are holes, but there's always holes. It set up two more developing story arcs, so brace yourselves, because there will be sequels. We all knew that was coming. I just was hoping against hope.

Acting: Franco's acting was meh. Actually all the acting was a little stale. I was happy to see John Lithgow, but even he wasn't up to form. David Oyelowo had a pretty good bit of acting near the end of the film. That's about it.

If you wanted to see this movie, you'll still want to see it. If you're undecided, wait for it on DVD. If you know you'll hate it, why are you even reading this? To hurt me? To make fun of my wonderful review? Well, you're a jerk.

    Score: 6/10

    Watched HP&TDH1 again. Good-good-good.

The Killers: For a movie that seemed hyped as a comedy, I really had to force myself to laugh at what seemed to be the obvious jokes of the film. Even though I missed some of the middle, I was still able to figure out the entire plot of the movie just by sitting through the movie long enough to see Tom Sellick and Ashton Kutcher onscreen together.

Knight & Day: Hyped as an action film, I believe K&D delivers. Plenty of action scenes, not too much talking, you don't get lost in the plot, there are at least a couple of scenes that are funnier than anything you'd find in The Killers, and Cameron and Tom are just great onscreen together.

Robin Hood: First I watched the History Channel documentary "The Real Robinhood" and learned that there is no documented proof of any one real "Robin Hood", although there was a Robert Hode and several outlaws referred to as Robin Hood as a derogatory nickname meaning kingless bandit. In the film, Crowe stars as Longstride who is curtailed into the life of a noblemen and whose own sense of honor compels him to right the wrongs of an impoverished kingdom. This is basically the "beginning of Robin Hood" story, and I hope to God in high heaven that there is a sequel to continue the tale of Longstride.

ya that was a good movie, i would too like it if they contineud and (i guess) gave us the story of Robin Hood as we know it as a sequel to it.

You, sir, are a gentleman and a scholar. Although you are a little crazy for not giving it 10/10, and for not liking Tom Cruise in it. It's one of his best roles in my opinion.

Really smurfing bad narrative. Really smurfing disgusting. Only good thing is you get to see Olivia Wilde topless briefly. YOU HEARD THAT RIGHT! OLIVIA WILDE TITTAYS.

Recently watched "Stake Land", which is miles better than the title might suggest. It was a mixture of The Road and The Walking Dead. It was a "vampire" themed movie, but everything was done so perfectly. The acting was fantastic and the story was an interesting twist on the entire vampire mythos. I would perhaps even go so far as to say that it is one of the best vampire movies I have ever seen.

Watched the Conqueror. Howard Hughes deserved to go crazy for making that poor wreck of a film happen.

Well I just didn't like the whole "Seduce and destroy" thing. I just didn't like his role I thought it was one of his worse role ever in a movie out of all his movies that he's been in. Just for you I'm changing the rating to a 10

Last movie I saw: "Mars Needs Moms", 7 outta 10 ... It was entertaining for a Disney Movie.
