Why would you not want to type the rest? Enix made good games too back in the day. I do like the riddle idea. If we solve it, since it could be hard, we get more than one extra spot.

Task 2: Ohhh XI and XIV are just BEGGING for some kind of in-game task but they would exclude people who aren't currently playing. It's also difficult to think of one that can be achieved in one day if necessary. How about obtaining an Ahriman Wing? You know, since Ahrimans are the EYE monster of FF, geddit?There could be an alternate task for people who aren't currently subscribed, like talking in "Eyes on Each Other"?

I don't really like the idea of flirting, if only for the reasons BoB posted earlier, though I could go on explaining how many levels of wrong such a task would be. I also don't think posting on EoEO is a good idea, since that thread is about personal issues and giving genuine advice and/or support, and not just going in and posting "I'm so sorry for you", or "lol wut" which would be enough for General Chat. I think the topics touched upon there may be too important for some people and us just dropping in to have that one Goddamn post there seems simply inappropriate...
As for XI - I would love that, if only I could afford to play it.That is the biggest issue here. I think the tasks should be accessible to everybody.

Good points. I think the kind of people who post in EO (much like similar places I post at) quite often just want someone/anyone to acknowledge them and show that they care. BUT if they're blatantly just going in wanting a free poster it can be far too fake. Reason for suggesting it was to try and get a few more involved in looking out for each other (because I see this as a much bigger thing than a free poster competition, it's a great "excuse" to really engage the community and is getting me for one a lot more involved in the hopefully longer term.. winning the poster would just be the cherry on top), but I guess, yeah, very valid point. It won't work that way for everyone, and could potentially be harmful.

As a serious idea, erm no. IMO there's nothing wrong with a bit of harmless flirting between adult friends (should see me on some other sites, haha) so long as no-one signals possible discomfort with it obviously. But forcing it would be uncomfortable for all involved. Plus it's a legal can of worms if anyone (inadvertently or otherwise) ends up flirting with someone underage.

Endorsed flirting is almost as bad as taking things to EoEO for this. It's not genuine, and even if it is, it might not be positively received. I might look somewhat hypocritical saying this as I like to think of myself as a smooth talker of sorts but it's important to make sure you're on good terms with people before you start going up to them! Let's keep everything fun, light hearted and free from potentially upsetting people. We want everyone to post here and have a good time

anyways, EoEO sounds like a good idea, but you have to offer sincere help. Don't wing it. Being off topic in a random thread isn't good, but worse is if you are halfhearted in your EoEO post.
