Everything about FFXIII is terrible to me, and therefore I refuse to give this game a chance.
I'm buying it, eventually. I don't think a day 1 buy would be a good thing for me to do, but I enjoyed XIII and I loved XIII-2. Plus, I NEED to finish the story. I hate not being able to see how a story really ends. Closure is an important thing for me.
