I wanted so badly to like FFXII. I really did. But I just couldn't. I could never get more than about a third of the way into the game without feeling terribly bored and realizing it was dumb to continue playing a game that wasn't fun. So I have never finished this game, and I doubt I ever will.

I didn't like the combat, I didn't like whatever weird sphere grid thing they had set up, the characters were bland... in fact, I would say that this entry was what killed my interest in Final Fantasy games.
