I have to agree with Del that the best part of DoFP is that it retconned X3 out of existence. I really wanted to like X3, because unlike WK I love the Phoenix storylines, but the writing was awful. It's a shame, because there were moments of that film that I actually liked.

It was good and entertaining, but not as good as X2, First Class, or even X1 in my opinion.

I didn't see anyone answer this, so: (SPOILER)IIRC, the post-credit scene of X3 involves seeing Moira MacTaggert talking to what is presumably Xavier covered in bandages.
