Let me say that pyralaster is still probably one of the funnest marks to fight. It's so quick and dirty and everything can go horribly wrong in a split second. I did it once with my shield guy tanking EVERYTHING, but the most fun I had with him was when I abandoned a shield and swapped my tank for my magic armor/katana/berserk dps machine called Ashe. It was insane and such a blast to do. That's how I felt about most of the later marks actually, they're a very fun challenge that can leave you panicking and desperately trying to keep up if you're aren't used to how the boss works. You can quickly be overwhelmed, and the feeling that comes with that is extremely exciting. Whats better is if you're able to make it by the skin of your teeth. There's no greater feeling than managing to clutch victory from the depths of failure.

I have very scary memories of Ixion slaughtering my party as a child, so when I went back a few years ago way smarter at playing this game... it was a joy to rematch him. I don't remember much about the fight sadly, but the name Ixion is one I won't be forgetting any time soon. Hell, all of the deeper areas of the Pharos have scarred me. Even though I have conquered them now I still can't go there without feeling like everything is going to go horribly wrong.
