Assuming Spidey appears in Civil War as Spidey we may luck out in this regard. So far the characters Marvel did origin stories for had never been done in movies but they did skip an origin story for Hulk. And knowing there's been two movies covering his origins in the last 15 years I imagine we might get some small flashbacks, but they'll probably be rather brisk and to the point rather than dwelling on him and how he became Spidey.

At least I really hope that's the case.

From what I heard they aren't even doing an origin story for Doctor Strange because people are tired of origin stories, so there's a good chance they won't bother with Spidey if they wouldn't even do one for an unknown.

I honestly don't even think Doctor Stranges origin story would be that interesting. Especially when he could sum it up in a sentence and it's just: surgeon injured hands, looked for cure, became a sorcerer instead.

I really wish they would stop re-booting the damn franchise. Hell the Amazing Spider-man is enough now we gotta sit through another damn reboot to hear the same damn story we've already been told 100 damn times.

Dude, they just said that they're taking Peter Parker back to high school. They didn't say they were gonna show the spider bite scene again.

I don't wanna start a new thread about the Marvel Studios Spider-Man reboot, but I found some news about who is writing the next Spidey Reboot, and I decided to post it here.

Oh, I don't know about that. I just think that Marvel is going infuse their brand of humor into the Spidey film, I mean the Sam Raimi Trilogy and the Marc Webb Duology were kind of heavy on the drama and light on the comedy, and in this new one it looks like it's going to be the other way around.

It might be like Guardians of the Galaxy, where it's just so silly and campy that audiences can't take it seriously.

I hope whatever they do works. Marvel can't ruin Spider-Man.

Guardians wasn't campy. And Raimi's trilogy was as much campy as it was full of drama. In a good way for the most part.

    I haven't seen Vacation so I can't comment on the writer's abilities.

Did that say Joss Whedon is directing or did I read wrong?

Well if you're that desperate for a photo go to his IMDB page.
