Yeah, I'm talking career more than year. Although I'll point out that while he does have 45 in 45 this year, Ronaldo has 42 in 40, so even when we talk of them being past their best, Ronaldo still manages to narrowly outperform him on goal to game ratio (and Messi isn't far off). The difference in games is mostly because of Real Madrid getting thrown out of the Copa del Rey for fielding an ineligible player.

I think Suarez is "at their level" this year, but it's arguable whether or not he has actually surpassed them.

Still, all three of them are 29+, so we'll be seeing them decline in the next few years, probably... I wonder who will be the next person to win their first Ballon d'Or?

Suarez isn't fit to bite Ronaldo's boots.

Great football and great atmosphere. The Europa League has been a highlight of my evenings this year. Glad that we have a manger who gives a trout, although the two huge ties we've drawn probably contributed too.

Knowing Klopp, he would give two! Fresh from the market.

I honestly think it should be given to Suarez. Ronny & Messi have 7 between them, and although I agree that Suarez isn't exactly better than them, he certainly isn't worse. Give it to someone new.

This whole player of the year thing isn't all that accurate anyway unless you are clearly a cut above the past few years (like Messi). If say Aguero, Lewandowski and some others was playing up front for Barca I'm confident they would get just as good figures because ability-wise they are outstanding.

To be fair, Suarez managed 31 in 33 in a Liverpool side which featured the likes of Iago Aspas and Aly Cissokho.

Good result by Swansea to get make them more secure. Bournemouth did well against Villa, also. It's pretty much all but over for Aston Villa, really. All they're missing is a big fat 'R' replacing 20th.

I must not have looked at a table (or at least the lower half) for awhile, because I was mildly surprised that Bournemouth are 11th, which is a pretty fantastic place for them to be in.

If Tottenham draw or lose against Manchester United, they have a slight mountain to climb to catch Leicester. An outright loss keeps the deficit at 10 whole points.
