i never use forums at all and i realize they are largely outdated but i thought to join and just say something quickly for fun! i think this place is kind of cool though. i may have missed the days where they were at large but it's fun reading all the old ones. just awaiting rebirth now.

If I had to guess I would say give forums another four or five thousand years and they'll be big again. We just have to let civilization fall and then rebuild itself back up to the point of the early 2000s.

Welcome! It's pretty dead round these parts nowadays but there's still some good discussions happening from time to time and it's so much better replying on a forum than on Reddit or Instagram or those sorts of places. So definitely stick around!

I came back after something ridiculous like 14 years due to being sick of the above social media platforms and longing for the simple good ol' days of forum life. I still have my socials, but only for my art really and I loathe replying to things on there.

Forums like this with soul and character are superior to boring large corporation social media sites imho. It's to bad that soulless sites attract the most drones because most people are soulless 3d printed cookie cutter drones.. it appears. I miss it when forum sites were as active as they were before 2011.

I still have a soft place in my heart for internet forums. I never really replaced it with the newer sites like reddit or discord. I just don't have any internet presence at all any more. I would like to try to change that at least here.
