Game of Thrones: House of the Dragon!

I went to the premiere event in San Francisco last night, which was pretty cool! Some of the cast were there, and it was in this swank theater.

I think the first episode of the season has the same problem S2's premiere does--to many stories to cover, not enough time--but it's solid, and the production values have definitely been bumped up. There's a great sense of scale in some establishing shots that I hope stays consistent throughout the season.

Also, my roommate took some pictures at the event with his fancy DSLR. Here's a link, but I'll post a couple of my faves.

The big premiere was actually in LA on Sunday or Monday, and then they did SF on Wednesday. You had to get invited, afaik. I somehow lucked my way onto a list. All I could take was a +1.

I would probably actually travel to San Francisco if there were a realistic shot of it getting me into next season's première, at least assuming I could afford to do so. Alas, I can't afford to travel to San Francisco and there is no realistic chance of it getting me into next season's première.

I dunno. I can't recall reading any offhand but I haven't read the entirety of either blog either. All the source images are from the show and there isn't any actual text from the show so... there's that? But it's conceivable there could still be book spoilers in there, I guess.
