So they're making a new pixel turn-based Final Fantasy for me. I guess I have no choice but to play it and see. I can hardly turn them down after all these years of complaining that they won't make one.

It's the gacha game but no longer gacha, I think? I didn't play too much of it (not a fan of gacha) but the story was pretty good iirc. I'll probably play this.

I'm looking forward to a FF game in a VERY long time. My understanding is it's the story from the first season of FFBE, but all the gameplay has been changed.

This is the type of game I've said I've wanted on every survey they've put out for years, and I know others have as well. If we want these type of FF games then everyone who said they wanted it better buy it because if it flops god knows when they'll do another.

Yeah, exactly. It’s hard not to give it a chance but I will read the reviews first. I hope they don’t mess this up. They don’t make the instant classics like they used to, but recent games like FFXVI, Rebirth, and Triangle Strategy have been pretty fun.

Hoping that the FF label means something to them still, given the hype of using it in the trailer. They easily could have called Triangle Strategy “FF Tactics Delta” or something like that but they chose not to use the name. Similar on Octopath. Seems like they have learned something about not overusing the IP so I am hopeful.
