I remember a while back there was a thread looking for which actors could play which FF characters. I forget most of em, but I recall Mr. T as Barret, and Johnny Depp as Vincent.

If they did make one I think it'ld probably look something like this (http://youtube.com/watch?v=svQvBiP76cE).

my vote is No
but if the actores are japanese I'd say yes because they already have movies full of fantasy scenes.

Square had two chances to make a decent feature film and they cocked it up both times. The first one had a fairly interesting premise but was boring as hell and the second was jam-packed with actions scenes but made absolutely no sense and had an abysmal story.

Unfortunately, Square will no doubt try again anyway after the moderate success of Advent Children (thank you, tasteless FFVII fanboys).

if you saw Advent Children, you're part of that success....

anyways. Advent Children's purpose was to do flashy fight scenes. The entire second half of the movie is non stop fighting.

Spirits Within was interesting. I think they did a good job with it, but it wasn't what people were expecting from Final Fantasy. If they really wanted to, and got some outside help, say Peter Jackson, they could make a truly epic and amazing Final Fantasy movie.

Nope, illegally downloaded it.

After I watched it, I seeded to 10.0 out of spite.

If it has Carrot Top in it, automatic win.

Carrot Top playing every single role.

Oh my god.

What about the guy from the 70's Incredible hulk? he should also be in the movie.

He and carrot top, each playing every other role.

Screw Bixby. He isn't in the same realm of acting as Carrot Top.

Bah. That would require me to put forth effort, and as I clearly know (and by default everyone else.) I'm much too lazy. :pinkelephant:

I voted yes, but only if they have a director who can properaly direct. And the correct actors, like Mr T for Barret, Sir Ian Mekellan(?) for Maester Mika etc, etc

No. Why? Because Uwe Boll would be first in line to direct it, and that would be the end of the world as we know it.

If they casted a bunch of no name actors instead of big stars, and made a story that was both interesting and understandable, It could probably be alright. Also use characters from the games instead of something that isn't really final fantasy.
