Hey everyone, my name's Josh and I just signed up here!

I was wondering if anyone knows where to get a .wav sound file of the cursor sound in the FF7 menu.

Welcome aboard.

I have a digital recorder; would you like me to make one? Mind you, the quality may not be the best (I can connect it to the speaker output but I can't entirely eliminate the background hiss).

If someone has the PC version of the game, then they should be able to extract the sound effects pretty easily, right?

Actually, that'd be awesome! I'd really appreciate that.

Here's a link for a bunch of sound files for FFIII if you want it?
Final Fantasy III MIDI's and WAV's (http://www.geocities.com/TimesSquare/Lair/4803/midis.html)

EDIT: OK, I figured out how to convert my WMA files into WAV files: they have to be mono recordings instead of stereo.

It took me a minute to think of a place with no BGM: Lucretia's Cave.

Here are three recordings: one chirp, two chirps, and three chirps. Is this what you wanted?

Shame about the static, but it's still neat that you took the time to make a recording of that sound effect:) I'll probably use that on MSN sometime.

There's also a good cursor blippy noise in the files that Jaffamitsu linked to, though it's the FFVI version which is slightly different from FFVII. Still cool, though.

I used to have this as my Windows menu popup noise. Just try not to use this in a game, as that split-second of static you can hear will become ever more apparent if you do.
