View Full Version : Why does my copy of Super Mario Bros run extremely fast?

05-15-2007, 08:00 PM
I ordered a copy of this classic a while ago, and for some reason the music runs really fast; like, little-time-left-fast, and even faster than that.
It isn't too bad though, because the game is still enjoyable; but I KNOW it isn't supposed to run THIS fast.
The real version is more like:

da-da, da, da-da, DA! - DA!

...but my version is like this:

dada-da-dada-DA! DA!

I hope you understand my babble. :p
Anyway, why is this?

youre probably on some sort of drugI appreciate your sarcasm, because everybody knows that sarcasm always made the world a better place.
Here is some sarcasm in return - my way of saying thanks.

When you hear this music, is your character blinking rapidly? As if under the effects of Star Power? Fast music is one of the symptoms.

05-15-2007, 08:11 PM
The star makes new music, not faster regular music. Whore.

05-15-2007, 08:12 PM
Oh. Sorry. I hate Mario.

Stop this ranting already, EyesOnFF is one of the very few forums that actually feels somewhat mature, but that obviously isn't the case today.

Could somebody give me a serious reply?
Or is this just a friggin' playground nowadays? :eep:

And where the hell are the Knights?
They've got some job to do here!

Maybe you should have made another EoEO thread.

is it on gba ds pc nes ....NES.

05-15-2007, 08:26 PM
is it second hand

05-15-2007, 08:33 PM
is it second handYes.

05-15-2007, 08:34 PM
Could it be that you have possibly misinterpreted the normal timing of Super Mario Bros. and therefore are mistaken in your assumption that perhaps the music in your copy is running a mite too fast? Perhaps you are thinking of a different game that has a similiar soundtrack to it and is still a Super Mario Bros. game?

I blame your buttworms.

05-15-2007, 08:49 PM
If the Knights don't do anything to fix this thread, I'll stop respecting them.

if you are moderators, as you claim to be, then fix this thread!
And no, I won't care about the Warn button, because you never react to the Warnings I send.

Have you noticed any other games that seem to have a similar problem? What type of NES do you have? I mean, what does it look like. How do you load the game - in the drawer, or placing it on top of the system (SNES style)

if its second hand you dont know whats happened to it, it could have been flushed down a toilet or been through sex with roto.

You just said the same thing twice

I blame my buttworms.

I'd like to hear it if you have any way of recording it.

Otherwise, I smell hax.

Also, Warn button does work. But I can see why they might ignore it for this thread. Or maybe you cried wolf too many times already.

We're done here. I'm giving a blanket warning to many of the posters in this thread, Craig and Roto specifically. You know that such posts are unacceptable, if you keep making them you'll end up banned.

Also, Peter_20, we Cid's Knights have little things we like to call "lives". They keep us otherwise occupied from our VOLUNTEER work as moderators on this site, which we do IN OUR FREE TIME. Warnings will be answered in due time, such comments are NOT necessary nor appreciated. They'll also do much to ensure that we don't pay attention to you later, it's not a way to get on our good sides and we're not going to bother with someone who routinely insults AND makes constant demands of us because we don't spend our every waking hour on this site.
