Plausible Complications involving Sister Ray. (Spoilers and such)

I just played through Final Fantasy IV (FF2 on the SNES) yet again, and I think that Sephiroth should've just sent Yang to jump in front of the Sister Ray's cannon when it was fired toward the North Crater. I mean, Yang can handle that sort of thing, as is proven historically. And he'll actually be back in good health, fairly quick.

It's a shame that Sephiroth didn't think of this. I mean, seriously, even if you aren't upset about what happens to Sephiroth, you've gotta feel bad for Diamond Weapon.

They should've got Cid to fall into the Crater with a bomb strapped to himself. Not only would it have sealed it but he would have survived both the fall and the explosion.

And if Sephiroth should be defeated in battle, he can simply rely on his hand to crawl away and presumably spawn the rest of his body later.
