I was tempted to put FVII cuz hes my favorite Cid of them all. However the first true Cid (as far as initial NA releases) was the hammer-wielding long bearded Cid of IV. Although not the first Cid to be related to airships, he WAS the first one to pick up a weapon to aid the group (Not to mention the first Cid that most americans ever saw)

I always think of VIIs Cid, but then he is probably the most famous of the lot.

My favourite is Regent Cid in FFIX though.

However, I must admit FFVII's Cid is always the first one that pops to my mind for two reasons: 1) He's a Highwind; 2) The best quote in any FF game ever: "Shut up! Sit your ass down in that chair and drink your goddamn TEA!!"
