I have not once seen Bronn as a person who acts like he is anything but Tyrion's equal, rank be damned. I would say this is a perfect match for Psy and DK when you consider their ranks at EoFF. Just because Psy outranks him doesn't mean Psy would ever pull rank on him. At least, I don't think he would! And if he did, I'm sure DK would react in a similar way to how Bronn would react. xD

The only one I can think of that comes close to having been "universally loved" is Baelor the Blessed (http://awoiaf.westeros.org/index.php/Baelor_I_Targaryen), though I think Aegon the Conqueror (http://awoiaf.westeros.org/index.php/Aegon_I_Targaryen) is a better choice for Cid.

Yeah, Raistlin couldn't be Jaime. He's got Pycelle stamped all over him.

Jaime would have been Psychotic back in the times before he was on staff, but now I can't think of many who could take on that role since Psychotic is more of a Tyrion these days. I actually think that Cuch suits Jaime more than the Hound does. Or, now that I think about it, Bunny could do well as a Jaime.

I see Lockharted as more Arya than Pike, since Locky is a feisty young upstart around the forums which translates well with Arya. Pike, I would put her as one of the more intelligent females in GoT, but it's a pity the female cast is lacking outside of those already taken. I'm thinking MILF & Pike would be a great Robb & Talisa, if we're going by the TV series. If we're going by the books, uh, let me get back to you...

EDIT: Unless you put in Pike as Catelyn and foa as Brienne, you could perhaps just put Pike in as Brienne directly, though. I think foa suits the tough, badass Brienne while Pike suits the tactically thinking Catelyn.

Sansa gets significantly better as the series goes along. The problem with her for the early books is that she is mostly used as a point of view through which Martin tells what more interesting people are doing while she passively observes. She's always being led around by one character or another. That said, given whose company she has kept throughout the series, she's shaping up to be a deft player in of the game of thrones by the end of the series. She only stands to continue to get better.

She's not perfect, but she of course had to grow. Someone mentioned how her character was used more as an observer at first, but that also fit her.

She finally starts becoming her own person, and opening her eyes to the way things are and what she can do to set the right.

I think all old members that are no longer active should be either assigned as the Others or the Unsullied.

Rantz thought it up, and I know that Murd and I both think it's perfect. Jiro is babyfaced, capable of putting in hard work and is full of heart/spirit, just like Jon Snow (at least, the Jon Snow I know). They are both perfectly capable of challenging the system when they feel it is needed, too. They both have their troubles with the world, and as Rantz put it rather well, Jiro "left us for the Wall". If you know Jiro well, you'll probably find all kinds of similarities between the two. Only difference I can think of is that Jiro can put on a happy face better than Jon Snow can - although that may be just the actor who I relate Jon Snow to. :p Not sure about the later books as I've not read that far in.

I understand your thoughts, but I think you're underestimating the amount of people that have read the books (or only read the books), and don't think those people should be disregarded. There's evidence enough by the amount of spoiler tags in this thread covering things about characters that book readers do know, that haven't been revealed in the tv show yet. The most fair course of action is attempting to blend/combine the two, and continue the story that way. My little character is also pretty minor, and it's all for fun. I still think that's the best way to do it.

Not nearly as much as Ned Stark, and the rules I work with are all about the fairness and honesty, not wankery ones involving lies and control. Notably, Ned is all about himself following the rules, which I like to think fits me pretty well (and Pycelle clearly doesn't fit that at all).

As if that isn't insulting enough I'm then named as Theon Greyjoy by Psychotic who if anyone has read the books knows is as much of an insult as it gets (face it I wouldn't have backstabbed a very good friend like that we all know how I am when it comes to my friendships) Then I've seen my name connected to Shagga Son of Dolf well fuck you two whoever that was, I'm not even going to attempt a reasonable answer to this suggestion. Did my eyes deceive me or did someone connect my name to that of Samwell Tarly, in which case sorry but not nearly as cuckolded or fat enough to be that role, let alone going down the courage path again.

Those of you who have only watched the TV series won't have met the character I am most like yet as he doesn't crop up until A Dance With Dragons as an actual character. Though there are a couple of characters which offend me less and also fit me more than the ones mentioned by you lot these being Davos Seaworth and Jorah Mormont. Though there is an equally valid argument for making me Renly Baratheon because of my love for Paul, though that makes him Loras Tyrell and he's not that pretty.
