Double Team Moody Bibarel scared the hell out of me. Fortunately, Power Whip actually hit it twice (despite not having perfect accuracy WITHOUT adding in evasion boosts). I was prepared to handle Moody, but not Double Team as well.

Next time, I'm opening up with Blaziken against that team. I would have to begin with, since Fighting and Fire wrecks so much of that team. But I was scared out by the threat of the Gyarados, who Blaziken can't touch.

Ferrothorn is so dang bulky, though.

You can time out on moves. But it's a pretty lengthy time. I don't think I've ever seen a move time out, so I have no clue what would happen. Maybe it would just do nothing? If so, it should be pretty obvious from the replay... Or maybe it just chooses the first move?

Edit; i watched the replay. And it uses the first move. This is most evident at audino who would never spam dazzling gleam. And lopunny vecause using retaliate twice in a row wont work. Besides id use thunder punch anyway.

That's part of why we wanted to get in as many people as possible. It made sure we'd have enough active to at least keep the tourney running.

The brackets should still be pretty decently full. We can skip a seeding stage if it doesn't look as though we have enough active participants.

There are competitors here who have Grass types. Beedrill would do well against them, I think.

Beedrill has really good coverage. Drill Run gives it fantastic Ground, which mixes well with Poison and Bug. It's just really, REALLY frail.

There really is no explanation for the Dark type (or "Evil" type, in Japan). It doesn't make a lot of sense, it was just put in to ruin game balance.

Oh, and Fairy beats it because it was absurdly broken and needed a counter. So, again, balance reasons.

It's actually meant to be about dirty fighting and tricks. Which is why fighting beats it - a trained fighter wins with it because of their formal training and they can see through the dark type's shady tactics. I guess that logic can be extended to the other types as well. I guess Fairy types are better because in fairy tails evil always loses.
