I guess that was the final nail in the Koffing.

Like, I know this is a joke but it's spawned a greater internal debate for me. Do you think a Koffing would pop if you hit it with a nail gun, or...?
Nah, I think it's kind of like a hard cement-like structure? Your nailgun would probably break

Surely not! I thought they were little bags of gas that floated about because they were so light!
Even if, they look more spongy than anything. I don't think it'd pop. We already have a balloon Poke anyway

But where is the gas kept otherwise Fynn? Where is the gas kept otherwise?
Well, see, it makes even more sense if it's a sponge. Maybe the gas starts as a liquid and it later heats up with this little furnace inside and it just comes out?

In Pokemon Snap you must rescue a Jigglypuff by deflating a Koffing! QED :holmes:
Pokemon SNAP is as canon to the games as the anime, so your point proves nothing :colbert:

Oh yeah? Defeat a Koffing in Pokemon Stadium and it sadly expels all its gas and shrivels into a sad sack on the ground!

Ugh, you!
I set up a poll so we can decide this fair and square once its time comes! :colbert:

No need. Look up how much it weighs.
And then kneel
A sponge could weigh just as little. You proved nothing

According to the internet, Koffing weights 2.2lbs. Make of that what you will.

Well, Koffing does learn both "Self-Destruct" and "Explosion" naturally. So...
