You're right. Factual error on my part. It's been a hot minute since I've played these games. I just remember the crystallization was something you wanted to avoid and trying to free Serah from it.

But then as soon as you wake up, you're immediately slapped with another Focus. This happens over and over again until you inevitably fail or give up, and you become a Ci'eth.

Unless, of course, you team up with a bunch of other l'Cie and overthrow the gods who have been controlling and manipulating humanity for their entire history. As you do.
