Damage Bugg, Possibly due to Battle Arena?

Hi,

I am a 21 year old guy from Sweden who loves to play FF, especially the number VII in the series.

Though something bad happend to me just the other they, and Im suspect its a bug in the game. In just got the Golden Chocobo on this save so I definatly hope it can be worked out or I'll go dig my self a grave or something.

The thing is, that Cloud hits for about Half his "supposed to hit" dmg, before i started the "Chocobo Breedin and getting omnislash quest" Cloud hit for about 1700ish at level 61 (next step in the game is the Junon underwater reactor btw on disc 2)
Now that i have grown to level 62 by also capturing chocobos and such, and after that have been in the battle arena gaining the Omnislash limit 4 for Cloud. He now hits for 800ish, why is that?

Ive tried everything, changed matera, changed weapons and armor, restarted the game etc etc. Still the same, even tried entering the Battle arena again hoping that the game would somehow come to know that hes actual hitiing stats are wrong. But not progress.

So i loaded an old save from just where i was to start breeding chocobos at level 61 (at the same progress in the game, still being able to head for the junon underwater ractor disc 2) i then hit for 1700 like he supposed to. What could have happend? How am i to fix this?

I am really frustrated and sad... /: is it a bug or is that the effect of learning omnislash? or what?

Are you sure you haven't stuck him in the back row of your party? :p Back row = half damage, unless you either equip Long Range Materia, or you have a long range weapon like Vincent's and Barret's guns, or Yuffie's boomerang thingy.

Omg, i suck.

I naturally kept everyone in the front row before, cause' Ive been using a non long ranged weapon for Barret until recently, so Im used to see all 3 party members lined up the same. But since i before put long range materia on Tifa and got Barret a long ranged weapon i somehow must have placed Cloud in the back row as well. What a stupid sob I am , and Im ashamed. Thanks a ton though, i doubt with my intelligence that i would have ever come to think of it. I would have spent playing it all over again =)
