could any one post a translation of the spells from the original usa release too the origins version? i find it infuriating not knowing what ZAP, XXXX, BANE etc are when i,ve mastered the origins version. and i want to join in ffI discussions cause i love this game :D

Direct copy from Gamefaqs...Those are just the names from FFOrigins, which had a better translation than the NES version.  They are not, however, the original Japanese names, so GameFAQs is wrong about quite a few things here.

Kishi, you rule! Is there something else you can translate from the Japanese version, like Garland's final speech about time-loop?

Actual dialogue is a lot more complex to translate than spell names, so I'd rather just go with Origins on that one.

Especially considering how many different times it's been translated--the NES version, Origins, fan translations, and now the upcoming GBA version, which inexplicably seems to be getting its own translation--I seriously doubt there's any way to translate it that will make it make any sense.  It is, after all, time travel.
