I don't think it came out today. I heard the announcement as well, but I've checked numerous places, and I can't find any sort of confirmation.

It wasn't. That was a rumored release date as old as six months. Even were it released today, it would have been in Japan, so driving out to your local Media Play -- or media supplier equivalent -- would be fruitless unless you lived there. You'll know when it's going to be released. Check this site (EyesonFF.com), RPGamer.com, or other such sites for information concerning the release when the time comes. The announcements will be in these places when it is released.

Which very much wasn't an announcement made yesterday. Again, this was a rumored release date as old as six months. 1UP.com has had that on their site since October or before. Some places (like EyesonFF.com and AdventChildren.net) just became aware of it only in the last couple of months.

By the way, 1UP.com has now changed it to state August 8, 2005, more than likely covering their ass without having any actual idea of when it will be released (this wouldn't be the first time they've had false information and it probably isn't the last, even with this particular matter: August 8 will be a Monday; since when is new entertainment media released on Mondays? Tuesdays are the days of release for such things.).

Yes, its definetly comning out on DVD, I dont think they would release it for just the PSP anyway, it'll get seen alot more if they release on DVD too. They wouldnt limit the films exsposure like that.

I am considering going to japan by way of the super secret under-underround railrode, sneaking into Square HQ (it has a security system like Shinra HQ) fighting there SOLDIR wariors who were trained by ninjas useing only my homade murasamue, bustersword and 3 sandwiches (i get hungrey on my ludicrious missions) and hacking into there hi-fi coputerised world. the computer is run by evil AI constructs. I will then use the powers of the one to draw the progress on FF AC to the surface and find how long untill it will be compleated. I will then copy all the files and fly out of there useing a pelacin dropship! I will post what I find out on this thread!

From what I have heard from rumor and speculation, FF7 AC might be coming out sometime anywhere from June '05 to december of '07. This is merely a guess and I hope that it comes out sooner rather than later, but if they manage to put in details of extra features like deleted scenes and the making of. But hopefully it would come out any time between June of '05 to december of '05. It's just a matter of time they can't hold it back forever.

Besides, its been what two years now more maybe since the announcement of the making of FF7 AC...And look at Halo 2 the release date was supposed to be february of '03 but it got pushed back for a year till november of '04. And all the while, things just got better and more details were added. And since the first time AC was told of it was clocked at 30 minutes. But now its been clocked at 90 minutes by Tetsuya Nomura. So I'm not afraid of what will happen later on if it just keeps getting better with time. (Just like wine or whiskey) It'll continue to get better as it takes longer to realease.

So everyone who is anxious to see it don't take me in any way wrong, I get the jitters just thinkin of how that movie will turn out. So in a way I can barely wait to see it myself. Plus I just want to see Cloud kick ass one more time (Such a badass he was...Including Sephiroth!) For all of you FF fans out there, (don't think of me as a fag or anything) I love you all! And keep up the gaming.

I take it then that they're still physically working on it. How sweet. I thought all this time they were just waiting for the perfect opportunity, maybe adding extras or something. But from the sound of it they're still coding the movie itself. My guess is they're making the FMV guys do it in their spare time from other projects. Helps 'em save money so if it bombs they wont go bankrupt again
