End game: Seifer's fishing and Squall's a knight. I don't remember anyone else who was like them. The closest I can think is that Laguna was using an old-fashioned gunblade against that dragon when starring in that low-budget film they made to build funds.

It's a little vague, I know, but it's not too hard.

Is the "I" in the first sentence a 1? Because Tiamat was a fiend in FF1 as well.....

Tiamat has traditionally been portrayed in the FF series as a multi-headed, hydra-like monster. I suspect they had to add the 'former GF' to it's description because the makers copied the GF Bahamut's design in different colors.
