So, believe it or not, I actually intend to make Sabin the ultimate physical fighter (T3H SPECIAL!) and Iīm just wondering:

My Sabin is at LV45, his Vigor is something like 86, and he sometimes causes more than 7000 DMG with the Tiger Fangs.
Do you think thereīs a possiblity that heīll cause 9999 DMG each hit with the Offering/Genji Glove combo at LV99?
Cuz thatīd be sweet.

So far, the only point in which I was able to cause 9999*8 damage with the Genji Glove/Offering combo was when I had two Atma Weapons equipped. Note sure what my Vigour was, but I was at level 99 and the Character (Edgar) had been levelling with Raider for some time. My guess would be no.

It is a pity that you can only get the second Atma Weapon near the end of the game and can only use it on Kefka and the boss before him.

Because any vigor over 128 is useless and damage drops significantly when you use the offering I would imagine that you wouldn't get that high. It might be possible. I've never taken his vigor that high, but I have a feeling that it wouldn't reach 9999.

Haha, this is awesome!
A while ago Sabin was at LV50, and then he dealt about 6000 DMG per "Genji Glove attack"; now, some hour later, heīs at LV84 and now he deals between 9000-9999 DMG per Genji attack!
So, Strength actually seems to increase from Levels as well!
However, thatīs pretty natural, how stupid of me to forget this! :rolleyes2

Iīm still able to deal massive amounts of 9999s! :D

However, since the Offering allows for so many more attacks, the power of each attack is decreased. The only weapons which can ignore this decrease are weapons whose damage calculations are independent of normal factors--basically, the Atma Weapon and the Valiant Knife (Setzer's Fixed Dice can also reach 9999 independent of normal calculations, but this is inconsistant). For this reason, Locke is the only character (ignoring a late Tower double Atma Weapon set-up) that should be able to always achieve a 9999*8 physical set-up.

Doesnīt ValiantKnife DECREASE in power when HP increases?
I mean, technically, shouldnīt an AtmaWeapon/ValiantKnife combo always damage by
about 5000 DMG per hit on average?

No. Basically, the Valiant Knife calculates its damage, and then adds on the difference between the wielder's max HP and current HP. Even at full health, if one's Vigor is high enough, the Valiant Knife should always deal 9999 damage.

Gengi glove attacks don't mean anything, they don't decrease your attack do they? So doing 9999 with those is normal. Once you add the offering into the mix then you start doing 50-70% damage. I never tried maxing out Sabin's vigor or anything, I was more concerned for some reason to get everyone's HP to 9999 themselves, and spend what time I had left working on other stats. I never put much strategy into it anyway, so mine certainly isn't a standard, but mine was doing 6-7,000 per hit with the gengi/offering combo. Basically you'd have to be able to do like 15000 damage per hit (if there wasn't a damage limit) so that the 70% mark hits around 10000 (which would of course be knocked down by the limit and hit 9999)

I change the Bahamut and Crusader every second Level or something, and make sure they give equivalent boosts.
Until then, I focus on stuff like Vigor and Mag. Pwr.
