Not much information has been revealed on this. All we know is that it will include new features like how they did with DoS and FF IV Advance. What those features are we don't know yet

yes. ff1 in dos was too easy but ff2 remained quite challenging.

I didn't mind FFI DoS too much, even if by the time I got to the bonus dungeons I was able to deal with them without any trouble at all because of my levels.

Making the final boss more challenging would be nice.

You're kidding right?

*rolls up Levian in a carpet and throws him off a bridge*

They'll probably have a quest similar to the one in DoS where you have to play the dead guys Leo, Banon, the moogles, Clyde, Shadow, etc.

True, but everyone mentions that he dies in the end of the game regardless. I don't remeber the end that much

Yeah. He dies at the end. But there aren't enough dead characters for that kind of quest. I don't remember Banon dying, specifically. Just dissappearing from the game.

Banon probably dies in the destruction of the World of Balance, along with all the other Returners.

Yeah, but absence doesn't really mean death. Really, since nobody says they're dead, they're... not? Hard to explain. Since the entire FF VI universe is in the one game, everything that happens shows in the game.

1. I dont think that they should make it for gba mainly because the story line is the same and that what rpgs are all about.
2. Does shadow really die in the end? I must have missed that part:confused:

1. FFIV Advance works fine
2. Yes, he does. He stays in the castle as it's falling apart. He sends Interceptor away.

If they do make it on GBA I'll do the following:
1. Wet myself waiting for release.
2. Purchase it.
3. Use the music to lul me to sleep at night.

I <3 FFI-VI

DoS Was fun. If yu want the game to be hard, don't use mages. It's a bitch to beat when you need to get all that money for armor and healing items.

Not, if, when. It's been confirmed.

FFIV from what I noticed isn't that much different storyline wise, Graphics wise... they pretty much just amped some things up to how FFVI was when it came out, so I don't think they can do to much with FFVI graphic wise. xD In FFIV though I did notice, and this prolly sounds -extremely- music nerd-ish, but.. The music was patched differently and pretty much I think the Trumpet patch was better the original way. ^^; Think of the battle theme for FFI DoS and use that trumpet sound for everything in FFIV. o o;

On the subject of change though... I'll cry if they change it to a point where they mess the greatness of the game up. =[ (AKA.. Don't change story line or anything >=[)

You know, I'd like to see them use that little Squall sprite they made for the PS1 version for something. Not much, just a little cameo. Make him the guy on the airship that removes equipment for you, or something.

2. Yes, he does. He stays in the castle as it's falling apart. He sends Interceptor away.

Though he does do that, I was quite certain he never actually died. Here's a link to his ending, and as if it weren't obvious, people who haven't beaten the game beware of spoilers: http://www.vgmuseum.com/end/snes/a/ff3-2.htm

It suggests to me that he simply planned on starting over in life. I mean even though he didn't get out on the airship it doesn't mean he couldn't have found another way out of Kefka's tower.

Roto13

But he was just sitting there in the corner. It's not like he went anywhere else.

Slothy

That doesn't necessarily mean he didn't get up and leave. What he said would seem to contradict the idea that he died. It's not like the ending for the game was filled with information on what happened to any of the characters after all. All I'm trying to say is that the ending implies that he had every intention of starting over, which would kind of require him not sitting there and letting himself die.

Let's get back on track with this and stop marking spoilers that are almost 15 years old like Kishi's announcement said. :p

Leo, Ghestahl, Clyde or Baram (can't remember which one Shadow isn't), Cyan's family, and Banon are all possible playable characters. Some of them more likely than others.

the issue of shadow is that they changed the ending for the english version to make it less obvious about him dieing, like they changed the whole dialogue of Celes trying to kill herself to make it less... brutal?

What were the Japanese versions of those two events like?
