Well the 2nd one is definetly better than the first one.The first one the different stock you used are clearly seen with the border of each stock so visible.Nonetheless the 2nd looks so nice :)

The 2nd one is nicer...the first one there's an obvious line that seperates the two stocks...but it's still good as I don't think I can do that either =) But still the 2nd one is cooler :) and the text is nice it isn't that choppy like the first one.Good work and keep it up.

ok.. I gotta be honest..
To me, it doesn't seem like you actually do that much with your banners.
Like, all I see are some pictures mashed together with some text on them..
and some of them are way to big..
If you really want to create banners, use brushing, filters, colorizing and
texturing techniques..

so.. yeah, sorry for the harshness.. but the only way to learn is to once in a while get some critique..

Yeah i know but I make them on paint coz my computer can't handle programs like Photoshop or even PhotoDraw not even GIMP! :( I really wanted to have PhotoDraw again coz with it I used to make some prety cool banner with textures... Oh well until I have another computer I can't make any other banners unless these!

Erm...no offence but your style is kinda the same lately...It's like it's just so common already...and nothing special...try something new or...try using a new program...GIMP/PS etc...It's nice but...it's kinda predictable from you as you're doing the same style on your sigs over and over again...sorry but just my opinion.But still it's nice so good luck :)

As for Gimp, it is nearly, if not, as powerful as Photoshop. It just does things differently and has a much larger learning curve.

There's always the option of downloading "GIMPshop", it turns GIMP interface similar to Photoshop's, if it helps anyone.

Cool sig, but again try to avoid applying the brushs on the faces of the humans/creatures in the sig, this gives the sig a focus point. :)

I agreea with Owen...and I also agree the fact that different people have different styles...but it's true try avoiding brushes compiled on the render's/stock's faces...oh and this sig...It's a quite nice sig but ummmyou should try other colours for the text...and that looks like a chinese girl and a chinese man according to the clothes he's wearing more than a japanese =X

IceAngel are you using GIMP[I don't remember, I may have asked before, but the brushes I see on the sigs and some of the effects remind me more of gimp than photoshop]?

The reason I ask is cause your text looks real choppy and I know one of the gimps options in the text area can do that to the text. Don't recall which but you may want to play with that, because the choppiness can be real distracting to your otherwise good work.

Also working with blend modes can be an *easy* way to try and get your text to 'fit' better with the sig.

They are still jagged. Perhaps try turning antialiasing on if it isn't already? Hinting may also help though I am not 100% sure of all that it does.


Anyways these recent ones aren't as good as some of your previous. Something else I am seeing is text placement could sometimes be better. Such as in your first new one in this last post of yours. The text " I am Stoner" could have been placed much better, imo. Setting it on top of a busy 'render part' can be detrimental unless you are really good with text of if the circumstances aren't right. But generally speaking you want to put the text in a slightly less busy spot. Not only does it than not feel as 'slapped on' but you also fill space that may otherwise make it feel like it has empty spots.

I think you should keep to the big ones that you make, since they look alot better than the small banners you do. try to play with GIMP, Ice Angel.
I believe you have such an unique style, it isn't as much common in this forum, the images you use are so beautiful and meaningful something most of us fail at doing.
Just keep at it and try hard, you'll do just fine. ;)

you know i get what xandrewx is trying to say although i kinda like sigs which are busy... it's like more interesting... i think it's more a matter of taste... but i like simple ones too it's those in between that are a bit annoying because you can't really say it's busy nor completely calm... i think that both are good because they are really unique and have a distinct style... but we just have 2 different opinions and there are probably others who don't agree with anyone of us...

but maybe on the second one you could try to make edges a liiiittle sharper, because right now it's a bit too blended and you can't really make out any contours except for the eyes (although I have to say that that's quite cool too), so maybe try to enhance the edges and make the image a little clearer ;)

WOOOOW I REEEEEEEALLY LIKE YOUR NEW ONES :love::love::love:

The ff sigs are reeeeally nice, The Irvine/Selphie one is my fave, it has the best blending and feeling to it but they're all nice so it doesn't matter :p

Of the other ones my fave is the Cloud/tifa sig mostly because of the text which is really nice, maybe not because of effects but because it's really emotional. The two in the middle are also really emotional and they really show true emotions and feelings. I love that... It's really hard to accomplish.

The Lulu one is a good contrast to the others and it's very happy, like it's there to cheer you up. It's background suits it really nice :).

Although just one minor thing... now, I know you weren't going for many effects on the FF sigs, and I get that... But the text looks kinda choppy in many of the sigs... maybe you could try to enhance it somehow... making it a bit softer and not that... edgy
it's not a big deal though...

So keep it up.. I'd love to see more of your work :love:

You don't transfer to GIMP! ;) You can find some at dafont.com
Then you download it and you have at 'My Documents' where it says Local Disk (C:) And then you have Panel control and there you have a folder that says 'Type of fonts' and you save the font there :D

i'm not that familiar with GIMP because i've only used it to make one icon and it looked photoshop quality, but does it have the option to make JPEG images less noisy? I remember back when Owen didn't find out the option to optimize his sigs, they were really dusty and noisy looking. Then, people told him to make the quality higher and his sigs were drastically better looking. Some of your sigs have JPEG artifacts so i just wanted to point it out.

I think this sig is really clean and great looking. There are no JPEG artifacts. The only problem is text, cursive (vladmir?) doesn't look too good for complete texts. Maybe if you used cursive on the first letter of the word, it might look better.

you mean it wouldn't install? do you think maybe your computer specs aren't good enough or maybe it's not meant to be installed on 4shares?

yeah, png quality is just super. For jpg, what quality do you save it as?

I usually save in quality 100 other times 90, it depends! Sometimes 100 is too big for eoff limit size! :(

yeah! i hate the size limit! well, 90 is really high already so it shouldn't have those jpeg artifacts. Do you think it was because your stocks were bad quality? because only a small percentage of your sigs have those artifacts.

Change the font for "invincible" to match the "Together we're". Plus, maybe change the positions of the stars - it looks very flimsy in w:save:e'r:save:e (to me anyway).

Perhaps
:save:Together:save:we're:save:invincible:save:
would look better...

EDIT: Without the annoying gap in "invincible". ;)

Er...is broad borders in fashion now..?I'm really curious though..I would like to try if the chance do come...anyway...Other than the wide border that kinda makes me feel kinda weird about..others are great..I dunno how you do that 2nd sig..but the effects are nice..just the Leviathan's is a little bright..it's even brighter when you use a broad white border..just my opinion..Good Luck.

Well this one is obviously a better one compared to the Leviathan one.Nice effect and sorts..but I think you should try new font style..for the past few sigs your using a somewhat similar font..I guess..that's just my opinion anyway.Good Luck.

I would say that the Rikku one is abit..out?I mean her right eyes is kinda like way off angle..is it a fanart?Anyway..to rotate without blurring it..I think it's by changing the interpolation..I dunno which is best but I tried to rotate and get a clear picture out of it.

I don't know why it gets blur, even with text... *sigh* I'll try that style again on another sig and I'll see if it gets blur or not again! :D
