Notice it appeared while Edward was playing the harp? BushHags Sahagins are very critical of music, and they'll appear and try to kill you if they think you're a bad musician. Cain is Rubicante, since they're both brooding drama queens. That leaves Rosa and Cagnazzo, who both, uh...hung out in Baron Castle.

The devil's road saps your vitality. Plus, it would be awfully hard to get all the soldiers through that tiny door--if the Mysidians fought back in that situation, the Red Wings' numbers wouldn't count for much.
