Ah that's a bit disappointing...in my experience with youtube battlers and freestylers, when they try to get in the studio it's usually shiet. Although that first track you linked me to by Osmios was sexy, so maybe it's just the guys I checked out that sucked balls. Anyways, about to slag off and watch the game. sadly he's moved on and hasn't had a battle in a while, went off and started focusing on making music. a bunch of the top tier guys from the UK have packed it in, Shotty Horroh probably the biggest name, and Lunar C who only had 6 battles but was a smurfing monstrosity in all of them, but he bailed out quick. but yeah I agree that grist took that one.
Man, that was great. Grist definitely won out though. That was 3 years ago, wonder if the kid has developed his style at all since. There was potential there, just a bit rough around the edges and too spastic-teenager-esque. Looking forward to checking the other shiet out tomorrow.
yeah uk scene punchlines are king pretty much, so most of the battles end up being funny as smurf. mind you if you've got legit bars you go over as well, but yeah a lot of UK goes go heavy on jokes and funny trout. there are a couple of guys who don't go in so much tho, Sensa and dialect are both pretty dark.
though a good chunk of this trout is clearly puns from the British schooling system which are just lost on me
