    Dude that's awesome. I'm super excited for you. When we started talking about this and you were like "yea, I'm gonna look into China" I had no idea you'd be coming here in 2 months xD

    Hainan looks smurfing amazing, man. Make sure you bring a camera. And yeah, the Spring Festival is a beautiful thing. I've been off work since Christmas and I don't start again til February 20th. All paid. I seriously don't deserve it. When you're arriving in China I'll be in Vietnam, I think. Then to the Phillipines in February.

    After you've settled in and whatnot we need to look into meeting up. The bus options are not as horrible as you'd think, if you know what to look for. When I was coming back from Yangshuo I was on a sleeper bus. It had full beds and plenty of room to stretch out, and it was probably about 40 USD, so not bad at all.

    Just quietly observe and see if they learned what not to do from Lord of the Flies! Never had lychees. And yeah, pirate attacks are unlikely, but then again so is getting struck by lightning!

    Screw camping, I'd just build a crude fort and live off the land for the rest of my life! As long as there's only a slight chance of pirate attack, the cargo ship idea would be awesome. A friend of mine works on a cargo ship as a cook and goes damn near everywhere. Problem is that when the boat isn't sailing, it remains docked in Alaska.

So, as I exited the taxi, I performed my usual check. Nope, nothing has been left behind. Good. I bend over to retrieve my backpack from the back seat and leave. The taxi drives away.
