I've no doubt that you can. Be prepared for it, because when they see a white man they love to invite him to their table to drink, and they will refuse to let you pay anything.

A word of advice: learn the basic rules of Liar's Dice (if) before you go. It is at every beer garden and if you know the rules people will love you. It is also a hell of a fun game, and I plan to introduce it to the States when I return.

Haha, oh man, baijiu. That stuff is DANGEROUS. tbf though, the only stuff I buy myself has been like 4 kuai (approx. $0.64) for a 150 ml bottle. I once drank 2.5 bottles of that in one night here and don't remember anything of the rest. xD Good baijiu, though, is to be appreciated like any other alcohol. Some of the Chinese take baijiu very seriously; sort of like a scotch connoiseur would treat whiskey.

It's funny though. I'll generalize here and say that the Chinese LOVE drinking booze, but most cannot hold their liquor. Leads to some hilarious situations.

You need to make sure everything is in order though, really. The program I'm a part of did basically everything for me, all the paperwork and bureacratic bulltrout. And there is A LOT of that stuff. I'm just letting you know that if you end up having to do all that by yourself, you will really have to be on top of your trout, because screwing one thing up or forgetting one document can jeopardize everything. Also, your program looks legitimate, but you need to be absolutely sure it is. There have stories of the govt. cracking down on programs that didn't have proper credentials and deporting foreigners employed as teachers.

I would love to meet up with you and drink the piss-water that is Chinese beer (you will have to make peace with this if you come here, the beer is weak, and there are like two brands unless you wanna pay out of the ass for foreign brew).
